Influenza Reminders

Per District 95 Policy:

As a reminder, students with a cold, sore throat, earache, upset stomach, vomiting or temperature of 100 degrees or higher should not be sent to school.  They must be fever and symptom free, without taking a fever reducing medication, for 24 hours before returning.  If in doubt, please contact Pat Nelson (school nurse) at (708) 588-8714 for a consult.

Influenza Precautions

Although the recent influenza had not greatly impacted the students of District 95, as a preventative measure district custodial staff has increased its efforts in disinfecting common spaces around the school.  Student desks and chairs will be done daily and common things such as door handles, railings, water fountains and bathrooms are being disinfected multiple times a day.   The link below, from the CDC, offers some helpful tips when dealing with influenza, its prevention, and treatment.
