Welcome back from winter break! I hope as a family that you had an opportunity to relax and recharge for the second half of the school year.
MAP Testing
MAP Testing for all students will take place starting Monday, January 25th. All students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade will complete a Reading and a Math test. This will be a chance for us to check for progress since the fall on our students to help inform our instruction. We will be offering the opportunity for our Remote students to come into the building in our big gym to complete their MAP Testing and that information will be shared by your Remote Teacher. Remote students who choose not to come in to take MAP will take the test via Zoom.
Mask Breaks:
We will continue to take mask breaks if the “feels like temperature” is over 20 degrees and the conditions on the sidewalks and blacktop are safe. Please have your child dress accordingly each day when they come to school with coats, gloves and hats.
Kindergarten Enrollment:
Kindergarten enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year will take place in the Multi Purpose Room (Door 17) at Brook Park on Monday, February 8th from 8:00 AM-2:30 PM. This is the first step in signing your child up for Kindergarten at Brook Park. You will finalize the registration process in the summer of 2021.
If you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2021, please fill out the form here to sign up for a time slot for Kindergarten enrollment.
Each time slot has a maximum of four attendees in order to ensure a safe experience for everyone. Only one adult is allowed to attend enrollment. Please visit the registration page on our District website to see the required documents you will need to bring on February 8th.
