BP Weekly Newsletter 8-27-21

What an amazing first three days of school! We are so excited to have all of our students back and continuing to educate our students with our high standards in D95.

Weekly, Mrs. King and I (Mr. Sorensen) will send a blast that has a lot of important information. It will be important to read this information weekly. Thank you for your partnership and positivity to help make this week and the beginning of the year such a success.

Picture Day

Picture Day is Tuesday, August 31st and pictures will take place in the big gym. Students will be able to remove their masks for pictures and information should be in your child’s take home folder.

Curriculum Night

We are very excited to offer our virtual curriculum night for the 2021-2022 school year! Curriculum night will take place on Thursday, September 2nd from 6:00-7:30 PM. Curriculum night is a time for you to learn more about each grade level curriculum and what to expect for the upcoming school year. Here is the schedule for curriculum night:

6:00-6:30: Watch informational videos from your child(ren)’s teacher. A website with all of the videos will be sent out the afternoon of September 2nd.

6:30-7:30: Mini Zoom Sessions with your child’s teacher. Your child’s teacher will send out a form to sign up for a 20 minute Zoom session where you will be able to ask questions about the curriculum.

MAP Testing

MAP testing for grades 1-5 will take place the week of August 30th. It typically takes two one hours sessions to complete. This information will help the classroom teachers better guide the instruction for the students. Kindergarten students will take their first MAP test in the winter.

Please complete one form per child. You may request as many clubs as you wish, however, please know that clubs are filled with a lottery system. The 2021 Fall Club Interest Form is due September 3rd.
