BP Weekly Newsletter 9-3-2021

Superstar Families,

We had an incredibly successful first full week of school here at Brook Park! It has been great to see all of our students back in the classroom, getting used to their new routines and starting to dive into the curriculum. Thank you also for participating in your child’s virtual curriculum night! We hope you learned many wonderful things that will be happening in your child’s classroom this year. Here are quite a few things coming up, so please take a moment to read through them:

MAP Testing:

We will be completing our MAP make-ups for 1st-5th grades over the next week and our staff looks forward to using the information to help provide intervention and enriching opportunities for the students in and out of the classroom. Formal scores will be going home in the first trimester report cards.

Dismissal and Arrival:

Just a reminder at arrival and dismissal to please not bring your dogs. This is due to allergies and some students’ fear of dogs.

If you need to cross the street on Raymond, please do not cross in the middle of the street in front of the car line. Please utilize the crosswalk in order to keep everyone that is walking and in the cars safe. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Attendance:

Please state a specific reason for your child’s absence on the attendance line if your child will be absent from school. The more specific you can be, the easiest it is to filter through

Wellness:

Please see our District Wellness Newsletter for local and national wellness resources to support you and your family.

BPC:

The first BPC meeting is at 7pm Tues, Sept. 7 via Zoom only (check brookparkcouncil.org or the Facebook pages for the Zoom link.
