BP Weekly Newsletter 12-18-21

Happy Saturday! It has been a great week and we have enjoyed our time being “principals on the shelf or on the move” every morning! We had a super day yesterday and thank you to the BPC and parents for providing an excellent craft at every grade level.

We want to thank the LaGrange Park Police that were at arrival and dismissal and continuously patrolling our building because of the national TikTok threat.

Lastly, the vaccine clinic at S.E. Gross went really well last night and well over 100 students received a COVID vaccination and many parents received their COVID booster.

There are a few important items before winter break:

E-Learning Plan:

As you read in Dr. Kuzniewski’s email earlier this week, the school board has approved the District 95 eLearning plan. This plan would be used if we ever had to call an emergency day (ie; snow or cold weather day). This day counts as a day of student attendance that we will not make up at the end of the year. Please see the K-5 learning schedule linked here. Your child’s classroom teacher will be reviewing how to access the Zoom link and other learning platforms in case the district had to utilize an emergency day.

SEL Blurb:

In this week's SEL lessons, students learned about cooperation and practiced team work through several different team building activities.  For more information, click the link.

Community Offerings:

See opportunities to contribute to RB’s Day of Service on MLK Day

We hope everyone has an amazing and healthy winter break! We will see everyone back in school on Monday, January 3rd and looking forward to an incredible 2022!!!
