BP Weekly Newsletter 3-4-22

Superstar families,

Happy Friday! It was a wonderful week here at Brook Park! We enjoyed the warmer weather and spending time outside. We also had an incredibly smooth transition moving from masks required to masks recommended and being respectful of everyone’s choice. We want to thank all of the parents for your continued support through this unprecedented time. There are a few important items before the weekend:

Report Cards:

In order to help with the toner shortage we are dealing with, digital copies of our Trimester 2 Report cards (K-5) will be sent out next Friday by the classroom teachers. You will receive a paper copy of the report card cover page with the comments and work habits.

MAP reports will be sent home digitally for students in Grades 1-5. Paper copies of the MAP reports will be sent home to Kindergarten only.

We are unfortunately, like most of the country, facing a toner shortage so we are trying to minimize copying when possible.

Kindergarten Enrollment:

Our February 18th Kindergarten Enrollment event was a huge success! We already have 125 Kindergarteners enrolled for Brook Park for next year. If you have an incoming Kindergartener and did not complete enrollment yet, please click here to find out more information about Kindergarten enrollment. The registration will be completed over the summer.

SEL Blurb:

K-2 Students:

This week, students learned more about sharing.  They discussed what it means to share, ways to share, when to share, and when not to share.

3-5 Students:

This week, students learned more about solving problems using the SODAS method.  See the attachment for more information!

Buddy's Place through Pillars offers a number of different grief support programs at no cost to families.  Please see the flyer for more information.

Book Fair:

We are so excited to be hosting the BPC Book Fair in person on March 23rd and 24th. This will be our first in person event in a long time and we are very excited to be partnering with the BPC to bring back many fun in-person opportunities over the next few months!

We hope everyone enjoys the warm weather this weekend!
