BP Weekly Newsletter 5-13-2022

Superstar families,

We had a great week here at Brook Park and couldn’t believe the heat wave! We enjoyed honoring our volunteers at our Volunteer Breakfast this morning. Remember that there is a movie night on the Brook Park Playground that starts at 7pm and the BPC will be showing Raja and the Last Drangon. Here are a few things coming up:

MAP Testing:

Our spring MAP testing will take place for all students K-5 next week. We are so excited to see all of the progress our students have made this year!

Device Collection:

We will be collecting all of our student devices on Wednesday, June 1st. This gives us time over the summer to update them, clean them and have them ready to go for next school year. Please be sure to have your child bring their device, case and charger on Wednesday, June 1st. We will send reminders as the day gets closer.

Superstars Celebration:

We will be celebrating an incredibly successful school year with our Superstar celebration the last 10 days of school. It begins next Friday, May 20th. Take a look at each of the days to participate and celebrate!

SEL Blurb:

K-2: Kindergarten, first and second graders practiced ignoring distractions and staying focused.  See the attachment for more information.

3-5: Third, fourth, and fifth grade continued to review prior SEL lessons.

The cost of admission is $5 at night but the students will all get a chance to see it during the school day. The S.E. Gross plays are always outstanding and we hope your family can join us for the play!
