BP Weekly Newsletter 9-16-22

Superstar families,

It was a great week here at Brook Park! All of our students are working hard in all of their curricular areas and we’re looking forward to seeing all of the growth the students will make this year! There are just a few things before the weekend:

Safety Drills:

We will be informing parents of all of our drills this year so that you are aware as a family. All of our drills are intended as a quick practice to make sure everyone knows how to be safe. All drills take approximately five minutes to limit the disruption to the school day.

Intruder: We practiced our first intruder drill this week and it went well. It went quickly so that students could get back to the learning and activities in their classroom.

Disaster/Tornado: We will be having our first disaster drill on Thursday, September 22nd. Classes practice the disaster drill individually where they move to the first floor of the building away from areas with windows.

Bus Evacuation: We will practice bus evacuation on Tuesday, September 20th. All of the classrooms are on individual buses and bus safety is discussed with the classrooms. This is important because we are starting to take field trips again this year after not having these opportunities the last few years.

Brook Park Spirit Wear:

Last Week to Save! Don't miss out on the biggest sale event of the year. The Brook Park Elementary School back-to-school spirit wear sale ends on September 21st!
