BP Weekly Newsletter 12-9-22

It was a very positive week at Brook Park which included our very large winter clubs session (16 clubs!) starting. Just a reminder that we have two weeks left until winter break and we do go to school through Friday, December 23rd. Please take some time to read a few things before the weekend:

SEL Blurb - Week of December 5

This week, students in grades K-2 learned about perspective taking (Strong Start Lesson 7) and students in grades 3-5 continued learning about common thinking errors (Strong Kids Lesson 7).  Learn more in our Social Work Corner.

Winter Spirit Week-Week of December 19th

We are looking forward to a very fun winter spirit week the week before winter break! Please check out the schedule here! We will send this out again next week as a reminder.

Morning Arrival:

As the weather begins to get colder, please keep the following in mind for morning drop off:

-Please do not sit in the car line in the morning until the doors open. This causes the line to be backed up even before 7:45.

-The car line will certainly be longer. Drop off begins at 7:45 and school starts at 8:00. It is important for your child to be on time for school.

-Please do not drop off your child in an intersection (near a stop sign) and either park in the neighborhood or use the car line to drop off at Door 1 or Door 21.

-Please remember that the flow of traffic will be slower, so if you are walking, you may have to wait a moment to help the flow of traffic. The crossing guards are there to help direct you safely.
