BP Weekly Newsletter 10-27-2023

Superstar families,

It was a great week here at Brook Park! We are looking forward to all of the Halloween festivities next week. Please see some other things coming up:

Veterans Day

Brook Park is very excited to be able to have a Veterans' Day assembly this year. There will be an assembly for K-2 and another one for 3-5. We are inviting any family members that are veterans to attend one or both of the assemblies, as well as a reception, on November 10th.

It will help us to get a count of how many people will be attending. Your child will be bringing home a form in their Friday mail tomorrow (one per family). If someone in your family is planning on attending, please fill out the form and return it to your child's teacher by November 3rd.

October 23-27 SEL:

This week Brook Park celebrated Red Ribbon Week, and we focused on healthy habits.  During Social Emotional Learning this week, students listened to books and did activities to practice recognizing their emotions, taking care of their bodies and minds with yoga, growth mindset, and positive self-talk.
