Social Emotional Learning - Week of April 15, 2024

This week, students in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade learned about making mistakes.  Students in third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade learned about setting goals and staying active.  The School Social Work Corner is a great place to visit for more information on what students practice during our school wide social emotional learning lessons.

Camp Bear Hugs

Please see the flyer for more information about a day camp hosted by Advocate Hospice for children ages 6 – 12 who have experienced the death of a loved one.  The day camp will be held on June 28, 2024 at the Morton Arboretum.

National School Library Month:

April is National School Library Month! Help us celebrate by donating new books from our Amazon Wish List. Students love checking out new books! Each grade level can donate from a different category, but if one wishlist is fulfilled, feel free to choose from another. We will be collecting books throughout the entire month of April. Bins will be located at doors #1 and #21 where students can place their donated books. The students and staff of Brook Park thank you!

There’s a lot going on inside the library to give our community a proper welcome!

We're building shelves, cataloging and shelving books, getting our IT just right, and doing a multitude of other behind the scenes tasks!

Let’s hear it for our incredible staff, movers, architects, and construction team!
